The Timken Operating System at Tyger River

Discover Timken’s Evolving Manufacturing Operating System! The Timken Tyger River facility invites the OpExChange for an inside look at their Timken Manufacturing Operating System (TMOS). TMOS (1) – in place for over four years – is the standardized system across all Timken plants, centered on leadership development, problem solving, and daily operational discipline. This includes intensive training for front-line leaders, an Operations Center (Obeya room) to drive problem resolution, and a standardized Andon system to identify issues in real time.

Attendees will also see TMOS (2) in action – the next-level enhancement focused on material flow, connections, and visibility throughout the value stream. Recently implemented, it has already improved flow, reduced WIP, and boosted customer service metrics. The visit will feature a system overview, shop floor demonstrations, and a peer discussion in the plus/delta session.

Note: No pictures or video allowed. Stop at the guard house (Main Entrance) and let them know you are here for the OpExChange event. Guards will direct you to park in the upper/left parking lot (visitors). There will be signs directing you to the Front Lobby and then you will be escorted to the conference room.
